Komende zomer is de VS aanwezig op het WK in Brazilië. Ze zijn ingedeeld in Groep G, samen met Duitsland, Portugal en Ghana. Op 2 juni moest iedere bondscoach de definitieve WK-selecties doorgeven. Dit is de definitieve WK-selectie VS.

Verdediging: DaMarcus Beasley (Puebla), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), John Brooks (Hertha BSC), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Timmy Chandler (1.FC Nürnberg), Omar Gonzalez (Los Angeles Galaxy), Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim), DeAndre Yedlin (Seattle Sounders FC).

Middenveld: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Julian Green (Bayern München), Jermaine Jones (Besiktas), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City).

Aanval: Jozy Altidore (Sunderland), Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders FC), Aaron Johannsson (AZ), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes).
